About Swami Suddhananda
wamijee was born in Satpura, in the district of Jagatsinghpur, Orissa state in the year_1950, he passed his matriculation in First Division and Graduated from Ravenshaw College with English as an honours subject. While doing his Masters in English in Ravenshaw, he was the Secretary of PG Deptt. of English in 1972, Then he went to Mumbai out of curiosity to study with Swami Chinmayananda and Swami Dayananda for few months.
The months turned to an year and he never returned. After completing the studies, he was in charge of Chinmaya Foundation in Madras from 1976 to 1980, where hundreds of students were attending his classes.
In 1981, he left the mission and Madras to spend some time in Kollur Mukambika Valley, in Mangalore west coast and after that he established Samvit Sagar Trust, the sole aim is to propagate the Self-Knowledge everywhere including Madras as the head quarters.
In 1984 he was invited to UK, USA, Cananda and West Indies for sharing the holly message. He has gone around the world almost every year for last 24 years. His lecture tour has taken him to UK, USA, CANADA, WESTINDIES, GERMAN, FRANCE, AUSTRIA, ITALY, SINGAPORE, HONKONG, MANILA, INDONESIA, BALI, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, MAURITIUS, SOUTH AFRICA AND ISRAEL. He was a visiting faculty in USA University of Humanistic studies for two summers in 1989 and 1990, where the students graded him as an ‘Exceptional’teacher for both the seasons. Apart from that he has addressed the students in the Universities, of Sydney and Perth in Australia, University of Auckland in New Zealand, Hongkong University, the University of Port-of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, University of Texas, Austin University in Phoneix, Arizona University of Louisiana USA, University of Mauritius etc.
He has addressed organizations like Rotary, Lions Clubs many places and management Madrass, Ahemedabad and Hyderabad. He has addressed the students in Indian Business School Hyderabad.
Swamiji was a part of the Indian delegation to United Nation in the year 2000 for the Millennium World Conference.
An author of more than 30 books, he is a great speaker and teacher of Self Knowledge. Today his name is synonymous with Self Knowledge and in single search his name comes as first reference in Google. From 1996 onwards he is coming to Orissa and has decided to establish many institutions here in his native state. So far Swamiji with the help of his students has established two schools in Madras one in Gudur in Andhra Pradesh and six schools in different parts of Orissa. Madras school was inaugurated by Dr. Abdul Kalam the Self Knowledge centers are in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe, Israel, India and many other places.
His heart is in complete education where the students should not only learn about the world but more importantly about themselves.
